The Belvedere Tandoori was established in 1983. Nurul, the Head Chef and owner, has been in the catering industry for over 50 years, having opened one of the first Indian restaurants in the South East of England in the 1960s. His passion and experience with Asian food led him to open Belvedere Tandoori. The vision was simple: to provide the finest curry in the area using the best ingredients available, consistently. This is why at Belvedere Tandoori we only use fresh chicken breast fillets from chickens no older than 6 to 7 weeks old, which keeps the chicken tender and less fatty. We use British lamb only, with no mutton in any of our dishes, and our fruit and vegetables are hand-picked by us every week from Spitalfields Market in the early hours to ensure maximum freshness. In addition to providing premium-quality curry, we offer a bring-your-own-alcohol policy with no corkage charge, making dining with us one of the most economical experiences in the area. Belvedere Tandoori has been trading for over 40 years and has retained a loyal customer base, drawn by its cuisine and dedication to customer satisfaction.
